U.S. Patent & Trademark Office To Host 2012 National Trademark Expo

The 2012 National Trademark Expo will be held at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday, October 19th, and Saturday, October 20th.

The Expo, which is free and open to all, will feature exciting colorful interactive exhibits that illustrate the pervasive and important role trademarks play in our economy.  Visitors will learn about the many different kinds of trademarks such as sound, shape and color, and will also learn about the history and evolution of trademarks, some of which are more than 100 years old. Iconic trademarked characters like the Chester’s Cheetah, GEICO’s Gecko and Bob The Builder will make appearances during the two day event. They will be joined by the USPTO’s Trademark Expo character, T.Markey.
