Support Our Troops This Veterans Day

This weekend, we’ll see family, go to a football game, have a hot dog. We might go to a local parade or raise a flag.

But what does that flag really mean?

It honors the brave men and women who have given their lives for our country. But it’s also for the half million service members who are returning from war today with physical and hidden injuries — including traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress.

Most troops wounded in combat are surviving their injuries. They fought our battles. Now they fight their own: long rehabilitation, financial troubles, unemployment, family discord, including kids who are having problems coping.

REMIND.org is a public education movement of the Bob Woodruff Foundation that informs Americans about the needs of injured service members, veterans and their families as they reintegrate into their communities. REMIND.org empowers people everywhere to take action. Consider donating to help injured service members.

Support our troops is no longer a slogan. It’s an action.
