We didn’t get as snow this weekend as some other folks in the Washington D.C. area but, check out this shot of the snow at Carlyle Towers in Alexandria, Virginia.
The City of Alexandria is under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon today. City crews have been working throughout the morning in response to this morning’s snowfall and are treating primary roads and some secondary routes; however, untreated surfaces, particularly in neighborhoods, may be dangerous. Residents are advised to use caution while driving today.
In response to predicted inclement weather, all Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activates (RPCA) recreation facilities will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6. All RPCA facilities are expected to open as regularly scheduled on Thursday, March 7. For a complete list of recreation facilities, visit www.alexandriava.gov/recreationcenters.
