Coastal Flood Advisory In Effect Until 1:00am Wednesday 3/13/2013

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Alexandria and Washington, D.C. until 1:00 a.m. this evening. If you are out near the waterfront, you may want to jot the high tide times down.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STERLING VIRGINIA HAS ISSUED A
COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EDT
WEDNESDAY.

* TIDAL ANOMALY…1.5 TO 2 FEET.

* TIMING…AROUND TIME OF HIGH TIDE.

* EXPECTED IMPACTS…MINOR SHORELINE INUNDATION.

WASHINGTON CHANNEL…9:37 PM…
ALEXANDRIA…9:55 PM…

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
