DASH bus will provide free shuttle service for First Night Alexandria between the King Street Metrorail Station and the Potomac River Waterfront, starting at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31.
The King Street Trolley and all DASH buses operating on King Street between the King Street Metrorail Station and the Waterfront will be free. DASH bus and trolley service along King Street will operate until 1:00 a.m., on New Year’s Eve.
Leave your cars at home, ride the King Street Trolley and DASH, and enjoy the events of First Night Alexandria and the countdown into the New Year with fireworks on the Potomac River.
DASH will operate a regular weekday schedule on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31 and will be closed on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2013.
The King Street Trolley will operate every 15 minutes between the rail and the river on New Year’s Day from 11:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.
